To get a rune, you will need to go to a specific location and fight the Elite enemy that spawns when you approach the special obelisk in the area, or by fighting a boss. These upgrades give you new abilities that let you access areas you otherwise couldn’t reach. You can savestate, roll, copy your save back, roll and so on, since the item rolls are the only thing that isn't pre-determined by your seed number.Runes are permanent upgrades attached to your save file. You can use it as a literal save state before every biome, before triggering elites and best of all - before re-rolling affixes on your items in the in-between level. You can not only use it to practice bosses. Or fuck it, I just remembered you can up the mutation limit from 3 to all you want, enabling you to get as many mutations as there are levels.Īs D_A_R_K_NESS pointed out, you can copy saves. Usually you should take tactics mutations, but since we're talking maximum cheese, disable every other item, turn on 'all items are colorless' and run Survival with Survival-based mutations. In 1.9 you use Wings of the Crow with Electric Whip, a Great Owl of War and either Ice Shards (if the owl has 'spreads oil on target') or Hokuto's bow with shots leave a trail of flame or shots explode into toxic cloud. Tl dr Getting spanked at second tier boss battles in 4BC and want a cheap way to win instead of getting gud. which I bet probably exists in a mod for PC version but remember I am on the Switch version. I think I'd even enjoy having like a god mode with max stats. I've pretty much lost patience to git gud here and I just wondered if there were any current exploits or cheats or cheap strategies. don't enjoy games where the enemies just seem like HP sponges and you gotta hack away at them for a long time. I pretty much just ended up spamming attacks in desperation and losing most health to malaise. even then the timekeeper felt like a HP sponge. I even purchased a Giant Killer in the clock tower and thought it would be a cakewalk but man. I've beaten the three first bosses but yesterday I got to the time keeper (with a full flask AND that reviving ygor mutation) and got spanked HARD. that's gone and it doesn't seem like it would have been a viable strategy in 4BC when most enemies start warping to you.Īnyways, now I seem to favor brutality stuff. usually wave of denial and a turret (preferably a heavy one) and just use the homunculus w/turret to take out most enemies. I started playing Dead Cells again on switch after the last update (also bought the Bad Seed DLC finally) and I've just hit a huge wall at 4BC.īefore these updates, I used to pretty much just go for tactics. ![]()
